Eco-Friendly Fun with Photo Ops

Since Segways are less damaging to natural terrain than even hiking boots, you can enjoy the beautiful ride atop our mountain while being eco-friendly. The rugged tires on the all-terrain Segway X2 are specifically designed to maneuver the terrain, and safetywise, a Segway with a rider on it can roll over the average healthy human foot without injury. Segways travel up to 12 mph and are battery powered, making them very quiet.

Be sure to bring your camera because riding through our mountain can provide photo opportunities for roaming deer, bald eagles and other animals.

Trip Details

This guided tour is 1 hour long and accommodates 3 guests. The tour begins with a safety training session from your guide on how to position your body on the Segway, get on and off, turn, and control your speed, followed by an obstacle course to get comfortable riding. You’ll then experience the beauty and fun of riding through the trails and taking in the grand views available on our mountain.

Popularity for this adventure is high, so space is limited and we recommend booking your Segway tour early.

YOU MUST ARRIVE 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED TRIP TIME, OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE MOVED TO THE NEXT AVAILABLE TIME SLOT
We begin outfitting our guests 10 minutes prior to the trip time. Late arrivals will be moved to the next available trip or rescheduled altogether.

Safety Requirements

Guests on our Segway tours musts be 14 years old or above, and participants under 16 must be accompanied by a parent. 16 and 17 year olds may take part in our Segway tours without a parent on the trip, however, their liability form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. MINIMUM WEIGHT FOR PARTICIPANTS IS 120 LBS and MAXIMUM WEIGHT IS 250 LBS.

Any person participating in an activity with Harpers Ferry Adventure Center must complete a Liability Waiver.
ALL PARTICIPANTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST HAVE A LIABILITY WAIVER COMPLETED BY PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN.
