Listed prices DO NOT include 6% sales tax and a $2 user fee & $3 river fee, which will be applied per person for all activities. Reservations are required for guided fishing trips, and all participants must be at least 7 years old and weigh at least 50lbs. Any person participating in an activity with Harpers Ferry Adventure Center must complete a Liability Waiver.
ALL PARTICIPANTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST HAVE A LIABILITY WAIVER COMPLETED BY PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN.
Guided Fishing Tour Details
- You will need a fishing license for the tour. The guide will advise which state to get a permit through depending on which section of river the tour will be on.
- Prices include: guide, all necessary equipment including rods and tackle, food , and drink.

Do you want to see the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains up close and personal? Go horseback riding in West Virginia. Your sure-footed mount gently carries you across the beautiful terrain while you breathe in the fresh mountain air. Additionally, a trained guide will share historical and botanical facts about the area. When you and your family or friends need a fun activity, visit the Harpers Ferry Adventure Center for a day of adventurous and relaxing horseback riding.
We partner with be Elk Mountain Trails (EMT). While horseback riding experience is helpful for this tour, you don’t need it. Our horses and tour guide make it easy for even inexperienced riders to enjoy this fun activity.
In addition to riding, your guide will offer insight into the area’s history as well as its people, culture and land. You’ll also learn about the natural flora and fauna that thrives in the mountain and along the river during the leisurely tour.

- Reservations and a 50 percent non-refundable deposit are required.
- Group members must be older than eight years old, weigh less than 250 pounds and sign a Medical Release prior to the ride.
- Each horseback riding tour accommodates eight guests and must include a minimum of four people. We can combine groups to meet the minimum requirement.

Our rock climbing treks are guided by West Virginia rock climbing veteran, Brance Keesecker. He and his wife, co-own Climbing New Heights, a West Virginia guided rock climbing company. Brance has been at this sport for years and you couldn’t be in safer hands than with him. His goal is to get people to develop their rock climbing skills to the point where they are easily climbing formations they would never even tried to climb in the past. He loves it when his students reach a new peak and get that unmistakable look of triumph on their faces. You’ll have that look, too, after spending the day with Brance.
Rock climbing is truly something almost anyone can do. Whether you’re a total novice or someone with a great deal of experience, you’ll learn something from Brance and have an amazing adventure, too. This is something you don’t want to miss!
You can book your rock climbing excursion directly through Harpers Ferry Adventure Center. Representatives are there to book your adventure 7 days a week. The only requirements to go rock climbing with Brance are to be at least 5 years old and a minimum of 45 pounds. That’s all! You can book in groups of six or less, and can book half (4 hours) as well as full days on the rocks. So don’t wait!
