For ages 9 through 14
KIDS LEARNING THORUGH EXPLORATION, ADVENTURE, AND PLAY (LEAP)
At Harpers Ferry Kids Camp, each day has a designated activity theme that will encompass each one of the LEAP components.
Each of the activities are designed to help create a sense of connection and wonder. Campers will develop a sense of self and learn how to integrate themselves into their teams as well as their environment.

Camp Location
Harpers Ferry Kids Camp is located at Harpers Ferry Adventure Center, one of the most popular outdoor adventure destinations in the region. The facilities at Harpers Ferry Adventure Center allow your kids to learn through experiencing both river and land activities.

5-Day Camp Activity Schedule

Magnificent Mondays
This first day is designed to teach our campers how to be safe while outdoors, working together as a team and most of all having fun. Campers will design their team shirts, participate in their first team building challenge and get to know their fellow campers.
9am Introduction to staff and camp rules
10am Team assignments, banner design and Tie-Dye
11:30am Lunch
12:30pm Team Building Land Activities
3:30pm Debriefing
4pm-4:30pm Daily Check-out

Tubular Tuesday
Campers will participate in a day on the water. They will tube through flatwater and/or whitewater on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. This will depend upon age and skill set of camper. Assessments will be made on site by our trained guides.

1pm Tubing Adventure
3:30pm Debriefing
4pm-4:30pm Daily Check-out

Whitewater Wednesday
Campers will enjoy a day with our certified guides while rafting down the beautiful Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers.
10am Whitewater Rafting
12pm Lunch alongside the River
1pm More Whitewater Rafting
3:30pm Debriefing
4pm-4:30pm, Daily Check-Out

Thrilling Thursday
Campers will participate in a day of adventure through our zipline canopy tours and aerial park.
9am Zipline Canopy Tour
11am Lunch
12pm Aerial Park
3pm Games
4pm-4:30pm Daily Check-out

Foresting Fridays
This will consist of an orienteering adventure in which campers will navigate through a series of checkpoints with the use of flag markers. These checkpoints will be preassigned by our trained staff. Orienteering is and exciting experience that will test campers knowledge and skill while learning how to use tools such as maps and compasses.

Preparing for the Camp
Drop-off and Pickup Procedure
Once you arrive in the main parking lot for HFAC, please follow the “Camp Check-in” signs to the white canopy tent. Parents will be required to park their vehicle and then sign their child in and out from underneath of the white canopy tent each day.
Drop-Off times: 8:30-9:00am
Pick-up times: 4:00-4:30pm
